Rao Madho Singh Museum located in the Kota's old Garh Palace is named after the first ruler of Kota state which was under Mughal emporer Jahangir. He was the son of ruler of Bundi Rao Ratan Singh. Many royal artifacts used by Kota rulers are displayed in this museum.the rich collections in the Museum bring the memory of the Golden Rajput days in Kota. It encloses attractive sculptures dating back to many centuries, royal armoury, miniature paintings and mellow mural paintings. The visitor can feel the glory and history of this region in this museum. Rao Madho singh trust looks after the palace part of which is converted to a museum. Frescoes on the walls and ceilings are exquisite example of kota style of painting, hunting scenes, war scenes, nature, Ritus, Festivity and Krisha lila are the main themes reflected through the paintings. 'The Beauty of Rajasthan, The Bravery, the Heroism, The Culture, The tradition, the beliefs, the wars, all is enticingly covered by the remains preserved in Rao Madho Singh museum.'
